At Palacios Crew Counseling, we believe that mental health care is not a luxury—it’s a necessity. Every mother deserves to feel heard, understood, and supported, no matter her background, financial situation, or personal journey. Unfortunately, for too many parents, real barriers still exist when it comes to accessing therapy. From financial constraints and lack of childcare to systemic inequities in healthcare, many mothers are left struggling in silence. We’re committed to changing that.
Breaking Down Barriers to Mental Health Care
Motherhood is demanding, and finding time for yourself can feel impossible. That’s why we’ve built our practice around making therapy as accessible and supportive as possible.
Evening and Virtual Appointments – We know that many parents have work, childcare, and household responsibilities that make daytime therapy difficult. That’s why we offer flexible scheduling, including evening and virtual sessions, so you can access support when it works for you.
Welcoming Babies in Sessions – We understand that childcare can be a barrier to getting the help you need. While we can’t provide on-site childcare, babies in arms are always welcome in sessions. We have blankets and carriers available to help make therapy a stress-free experience for you and your little one.
Accepting Insurance – Financial limitations should never prevent someone from getting the care they need. We accept insurance to make therapy more accessible for all families.
Committed to Inclusive, Affirming, and Trauma-Informed Care
We know that not all mothers have the same journey. That’s why we provide compassionate, individualized therapy for those navigating perinatal mood disorders, anxiety, birth trauma, fertility challenges, and loss. We also recognize the unique experiences of BIPOC mothers, LGBTQIA+ parents, and families of all structures, ensuring that our therapy space is affirming, safe, and validating for every client.
At Palacios Crew Counseling, we don’t just do the work—we commit to continual learning and growth so we can best serve our community. Our therapists are consistently deepening their expertise through ongoing education in perinatal mental health, trauma recovery, and inclusive care. We also invest in training the next generation of therapists through supervision and consultation, ensuring more mental health providers have the knowledge and skills to serve mothers and families with excellence.
Serving Our Community Beyond the Therapy Room
Mental health care doesn’t stop when a session ends. We are deeply involved in our community, connecting with doulas, midwives, OBs, lactation consultants, and other professionals who support maternal wellness. We believe in a collaborative approach to care, ensuring our clients have the resources and network they need for their emotional, physical, and mental well-being.
We also advocate for awareness and education, breaking the stigma around maternal mental health through outreach, community events, and professional development opportunities for other birth and mental health workers.
